Pre-Employment Medical Clearance
The Ontario Public Hospitals Act mandates that hospitals establish health surveillance programs for all individuals working within the hospital. This regulation requires proof of immunity for certain diseases and as a result, Halton Healthcare requires all new hires to receive pre-employment medical clearance by our Health, Safety & Wellness team, prior to their start date, as a condition of employment.
Nursing Grant for Eligible Nurses
The Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible nurses in exchange for a two-year commitment to Halton Healthcare. If you meet the eligibility criteria defined on Ontario Health’s Health Force Ontario website, you are encouraged to apply to our vacant position(s) and inform Human Resources of your eligibility by emailing recruitment@haltonhealthcare.com. If you have questions about the CCPN and/or nurse eligibility, please email info-hfo@ontariohealth.ca.
Fraudulent Advertisements and Other Online Activities
Halton Healthcare has learned of various fraudulent activities occurring online with the attempt to scam individuals out of their personal information. This includes both false job postings and email scams offering positions at our hospitals that do not exist. Halton Healthcare is warning people that offers made through any unverified third-party sources are fraudulent. Halton Healthcare does not send unsolicited emails with job offers, either directly or through agents. Hospital vacancies are advertised in the Careers section of this website. Halton Healthcare requests that any concerns relating to fraudulent recruitment activity be reported to recruitment@haltonhealthcare.com.
