Code Orange exercise at Milton District Hospital

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, staff from Halton Healthcare will participate in a Code Orange training exercise at Milton District Hospital. Throughout the morning and early afternoon, patients and visitors may notice increased activity at the hospital.

Hospital services, including the Emergency Department will not be affected by this exercise.

The hospital would call a Code Orange in the event of a disaster that is likely to increase the number of patients received in the Emergency Department. Exercises like this help hospital staff and physicians practice, review and improve our Code Orange plan, so that we are always ready to care for our community.
