Support the Oakville Hospital Volunteer Association
Members of the Oakville Hospital Volunteer Association not only donate their time at the hospital, they also actively fundraise to help Halton Healthcare Services purchase vital medical equipment for the hospital.
How We Raise Money For The Hospital
The Tuck Wagon–The Tuck Wagon offers a wide array of items from the Gift Shop and operates throughout the inpatient floors. The Tuck Wagon conveniently offers sundry items, snacks and beverages for purchase by patients and visitors of the hospital.
If you happen to see this wagon circulating your floor while you are here, you can enjoy the convenience of having all these items brought to you, while donating to the hospital at the same time. It's a win-win situation!
BINGO-OHVA volunteers are Ambassadors at the Mayfair Bingo Hall on alternate Wednesday afternoons. Having recently switched to electronic Bingo, all proceeds from this venture go back to our hospital.
H.E.L.P.P. Lottery–The Hospital Equipment Lottery Project for People costs $.50 / ticket and you can win up to $100!
Tickets are on sale weekdays outside the OHVA Gift Shop. You must be 18 years old to play & all tickets must be opened and redeemed at the Gift Shop.
OHVA 50/50 Weekly Raffle–The OHVA holds various raffles and events throughout the year including a 50/50 draw lottery for Halton Healthcare staff and volunteers. Fifty per cent of proceeds go to the winner and 50% goes back to the hospital.
Vendor Program–The OHVA runs a very successful Vendor Program where they invite vendors to set up their unique products and gifts along the main area of the hospital for patients, visitors and staff to purchase. All net proceeds are donated to our hospital towards much-needed equipment and services.
Gift Shop–The Oakville Hospital Volunteer Association’s Gift Shop has a long legacy within the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Your purchase is more than a gift; you are generously contributing to what makes OTMH one of the greatest community hospitals that it is today.
