Full Diagnostic Imaging services continue to be offered at Halton Healthcare through the COVID-19 pandemic, including routine and non-urgent examinations. Some exams may be delayed due to physical distancing requirements. 

X-rays are completed on a walk-in basis, no appointment is required. Patients may book their appointment without a requisition for the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP).  All other exams must have a requisition faxed to the Diagnostic Imaging department prior to booking.

After your procedure, the results of your test(s) are sent to your referring physician, who will explain and discuss them with you. For more information about radiological procedures, you can also visit www.radiologyinfo.org.

Pocket Health for Patients

Access your medical imaging records online. The new process is automated, giving patients the ability to securely view and share the same records online. Visit pocket.health/HALTON to learn more. Patients can sign up to access imaging and reports after each exam and save them permanently. With PocketHealth you can share your imaging/reports from other facilities with Halton Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging (Image Library Department). Fax the access code provided by PocketHealth to 905-203-7993

Pocket Health Provider-to-Provider

PocketHealth Provider-to-Provider Sharing enables Halton Healthcare to share images and associated reports quickly, securely and more efficiently with our physician and healthcare provider community. PocketHealth uses a distinctive technology that eliminates the need to join a network or burn images on a DVD. Instead, an Access Page containing a unique security code will allow you to access imaging exams online. The Access Page can be delivered to by the patient (similar to a DVD) or faxed to you directly from any of our Halton Healthcare sites. Once you have received the Access Page, you can go to pocket.health/VIEW, enter the patient’s date of birth, the security code on the Access Page and the images will be accessible instantly.

CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Mammography, Bone Density, and Gastric examinations require an appointment.

For some special examinations such as CT and MRI we provide evening appointments.
