Paediatric Surgery - Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy

Your child needs an operation called a tonsillectomy to take out the tonsils. Your child may also need an operation called an adenoidectomy to take out the adenoids. These operations can be done seperately or at the same time. The tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy operations are done to reduce the infections and improve your child's breathing. An otolaryngologist or a surgeon who specializes in problems with the ear, nose and throat will do the operation.
