The Mental Health Day Program is a six week intensive group program that serves as a step-down or alternative to inpatient admission. The focus is on crisis management, symptom stabilization, education, group and individual counselling and the coordination of resources for follow-up after discharge.
Education based groups focus on learning new coping skills, self- reliance and personal growth.

- Group-based education and skill building related to stress management, coping, communication, and managing illness
- Family education
Individuals 18 years of age and older living in Halton and diagnosed with mental illness and who require intensive supports to prevent hospitalization or facilitate transition to the community.
How to Access This Service
Referrals are accepted from family physicians by faxing the Patient Referral Form to one-Link.
