The Ophthalmology Clinic provides care to adults with eye disorders. The clinic promotes clinical advances in the investigation, treatment and prevention of visual disorders. A skilled team of Ophthalmic Assistants, Technicians and Technologists use state of the art equipment to investigate and prepare patients for assessment. Clerical staff register patients and are available to answer any questions or concerns.

A referral from a family physician is required to access these services. Appointments are booked through the Ophthalmologist’s office.

    • Fluorescein Angiography
    • Fundus coloured photography and Autofluorescence
    • Optical Coherence Tomography
    • Humphrey Visual Field
    • Goldman Visual Field
    • Specular Microscope
    • Orthoptics Eye Exam
    • Injection of Medication into the eye
    • Laser eye treatment
  • On-call Ophthalmologist available through the Emergency Department

Preparing for your Appointment

  • Bring a current list of all the medications you are taking
  • Arrange for a driver if you are receiving eye drops
  • Plan to be at the Clinic for approximately two (2) hours
