Our Surgical Program includes a wide range of inpatient and 'same-day' surgery services.
With the development of non-invasive surgical procedures, other technological advances and an increased trend to care in the community, approximately 80 per cent of all our surgeries are now being done as day surgery. Patients arrive in the morning for surgery and return home later the same day to recuperate in the comfort of their own home.
We also support the government's belief of open and transparent reporting to the public which include our Patient Safety Indicators.
How may we help you?
We are pleased to participate in the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program
We are always working hard to enhance the quality of surgical care. This is why Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital has joined 34 other hospitals across Ontario in the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP). As a participant in this program, we collect information about surgical patients, during their stay and after they are discharged. This information is used to measure the quality of the surgical care we provide.
You may be contacted after your surgery and invited to participate in a confidential survey about your recovery and overall health. We encourage you to complete the survey and help us continue to improve the care we provide and to deliver exemplary patient experiences, always.
You can learn more about the NSQIP here.
