Everyone entering Halton Healthcare facilities must continue to wear a mask, despite the lifting of provincial government mask mandates in select high-risk settings on June 11, 2022. More information on mask use in our hospitals here.
Mask Use at Our Hospitals
Masking continues in our hospitals as part of our enhanced infection prevention efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our patients and team members.
As the provincial government proceeds with its plan to lift COVID-19 restrictions, vaccines, masks and physical distancing continue to be important measures to keep everyone safe in our hospitals. Halton Healthcare has a responsibility to ensure that our facilities remain as safe as possible for the vulnerable patient populations and immunocompromised individuals that we serve.
Information for Visitors, Outpatients and Inpatients
Visitors and Outpatients
By ensuring our visitors are masked, practicing physical distancing and performing proper hand hygiene, we are doing everything we can to reduce the chance of transmission while still allowing people to safely visit their loved ones. More information is available on Visiting & Connecting with a Patient.
For Your Safety When Visiting:
- Face masks must be worn at all times
- ensure minimal mask removal, please only eat in designated areas, not in any waiting or patient care areas, including patient rooms.
All patients inside their rooms do not need to wear their mask. Once outside your patient room, you must wear a mask at all times.
