Halton Healthcare Welcomes First Baby of the New Year
Halton Healthcare is delighted to welcome the first baby of 2026 at Milton District Hospital. Baby Elijah arrived on January 1 at 1:55 a.m., weighing 7 lbs, 10 oz, marking a joyful start to the new year. Elijah is the second baby for proud parents, Sherine and Elmin.
“Welcoming the first baby of the year is always incredibly special,” said Cheryl Hoare, Program Director, Women and Children. “We are thrilled to be part of this family’s journey and to support them through these meaningful moments.”
In the past year, Halton Healthcare’s Women and Children team supported the arrival of 5,126 babies.
