Halton Healthcare recognizes that maintaining patient confidentiality is of paramount importance and must not be compromised.

Media representatives are granted access to patients on the approval of the patient/patient’s guardian and the patient’s physician. Access to patients for the purpose of interviewing, photographing, filming or sound recording which is in any way contrary to the patient’s wishes or detrimental to the patient’s condition is not permitted.

Communications & Public Affairs must be notified in advance of any on-site interviews with staff or patients. This will ensure appropriate individuals are apprised and consents are secured.

Media representatives are restricted from access to some areas of the hospital including areas in which intensive care is underway and areas which are restricted due to infection control measures.

During an emergency situation, ALL areas of the involved hospital will be regarded as restricted areas, except those facilities designated for use by the media.

A representative from Communications & Public Affairs, or a delegate, must accompany all reporters, film crews and photographers during their visit to the hospital.

Once approved, they will be happy to send you the correct logo along with our Visual Identity Guide, outlining the criteria in which it is to be used.

If you would like site photographs of any of Halton Healthcare's hospitals and facilities, email Communications & Public Affairs with your request. Once approved, they will be happy to send you the photographs requested if they are available on file.
