Every year the Nominating Sub Committee determines the terms available and if there are any Board vacancies to fill. If there are vacancies, a Board needs assessment and recruitment process is undertaken. All Board vacancies are publicly advertised in the local press and media. Potential candidates are reviewed based on the Board needs assessment and the candidate’s skills, expertise and community engagement.
The Nominating Sub Committee brings forward a list of recommended candidates to the Governance Committee. The Governance Committee reviews the list and a final recommended candidate is brought forward to the Board for approval. The endorsed candidate is then recommended for election at the Annual General Meeting.
