REACH Day Program

OTMH

REACH Day Program is a six-week intensive outpatient program provided for children and youth aged 12-18 requiring:

  • An alternative to inpatient hospitalization.
  • Follow-up from an inpatient admission.

This program meets daily and provides group and individual-based care within a therapeutic classroom environment. Therapeutic programming incorporates evidence-based practices including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT) with a focus on crisis management, symptom stabilization and skills development. Academic programming is delivered by Halton District School Board teachers through individual and small group instruction. Teachers will connect with your child’s home school to get appropriate homework and make sure they receive credit for the work completed while in the program. The REACH team includes child youth counsellors, social work, psychiatry, teachers and educational assistants.
