Halton Healthcare Services has proudly presented Living Healthy seminars to the communities of Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills since 1998. These health and wellness education seminars enable community members to engage in healthy lifestyles and initiatives, to be informed about current health issues, and to know where to obtain further assistance and information. This form of community engagement allows us to determine the needs of the community that we serve, and to tailor programs to fulfill these needs in our hospitals. Our mission is to provide quality compassionate care and services and the Living Healthy seminars provide a unique way for us to continue to do just that.
Seminars are arranged in two biannual calendars, and include presentations on a variety of topics which range from general wellness to specific disease management. Speakers include physicians, allied health professionals, area experts, and, in some cases, patients. Related community agencies also set up displays at the seminars to inform participants of services and resources that may help improve or maintain their health.
Living Healthy Calendar
Seminars are presented in two biannual sessions - the first spanning February to May, and the second spanning September to November. The Living Healthy Calendar, released twice a year, lists the seminar dates, titles, speakers and locations for each seminar within a session. All seminars are provided to the public for free.

Get Involved with Living Healthy
In order to provide these popular events free to the public, we rely on community assistance and support from various organizations. Donors not only receive the satisfaction of supporting a longstanding Halton Healthcare program, but are recognized on seminar promotional materials and honoured at the events.
