The Town of Halton Hills is made up of Acton, Ballinafad, Churchill (Hamlet), Georgetown, Glen Williams, Limehouse, Norval (Village of), Stewarttown and Terra Cotta. While the larger areas of Georgetown and Acton provide modern development the surrounding villages and hamlets that make up the town retain their rural charm. The Hospital currently serves an urban and rural population of approximately 55,289.
Halton Hills residents are fortunate to have close access to some of the highest quality post secondary institutions in the country. Within a one-hour drive you have access to eight universities and eight technical colleges. McMaster University, located in nearby Hamilton, Ontario is one of Canada's top research universities providing easy access to the most up-to-date information in the field of health sciences.

With over 46 park sites to choose from residents of Halton Hills can enjoy a wide range of recreational activities. From hiking and cycling to bird watching and fishing there is an activity to suit everyone's preference. For the active golfer, Halton Hills has a number of private, semi-private and public golf courses to choose from, including the Club at North Halton which is just a 'stone's throw' away from the Hospital.
Expansion & Renovations
Plans are underway to expand both the Emergency and the Diagnostic Imaging Departments at Georgetown Hospital to serve our growing community and accommodate the addition of a new CT scanner.
