Halton Healthcare represents the blending of three well-established, community-oriented hospital facilities. Together, Georgetown Hospital, Milton District Hospital, and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital , serve the growing urban and rural communities of Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville. Reflecting the dynamic communities we serve, we take pride in offering some of the finest technology and healthcare expertise available in southwestern Ontario today.
Serving our Hospitals are very much a part of Halton's rich history and have a long-standing tradition of providing quality care to many generations of area families. Together, we serve over 300,000 residents.
On March 1, 2006, the Local Health System Integration Act 2006 was passed, empowering LHINs to plan, fund and integrate local health services. Halton Healthcare's three Hospitals are now part of the Mississauga Halton LHIN, which covers approximately 900 square kilometres and also includes the municipalities of South Etobicoke and Mississauga.
